Penny’s Places

 We loaded up our rolling home behind the truck and drove a long long time.   I am tired!   I don’t know where we will go next.

 We rode a ferry that traveled from Fort Morgan to Dolphin Island.   I saw big fish jump out of the water and my Dad called them dolphins.   But first it was really weird.  We drove the truck up on a huge boat and parked in line with other people.    There were other dogs on this big boat but Dad wouldn’t let me talk to them.   I saw funny looking birds sitting on a pole that my Mom called Pelicans. I also saw birds dive into the water, catch a fish and fly away.   Wow, that was neat.   We rode on the big boat for about 30 minutes and then we drove off.   Then we went back to the beach.   I still don’t like the water, but I enjoy walking, and smelling all of the different smells.   After a couple of hours, we got back on the big boat and rode back to Fort Morgan.  

 I took my Hoomans for a walk on the beach.   The ground was different and my mom was realllly slow!  I saw big logs my mom called drift wood.    They smelled funny and made me sneeze!    The water moved.  When I tried to smell and taste the water it slapped my nose.   I didn’t like that at all .    There were big birds walking in the water and I thought about catching one but then I remembered the weird water.   I decided to let the bird alone this time.  We walked a whole mile and I got tired.   I hope Mom and Dad take me there again!  My Hooman came home on Friday and said she is not going anywhere without us anymore.   She said she is something called retired.    I don’t know what that means but I like it.   We loaded up our rolling house and got in Alpha Hooman’s truck and rode a long long way to somewhere called the beach.   I like to ride! Then we unloaded everything and it was time to go to sleep in our rolling house. Here I am in our rolling house.
