Exploring and walks

Image
We rode to an arboretum in Chesapeake yesterday and went for a long walk.   There were flowers blooming even though my people said it was really cold.   We saw lots of birds and squirrels and I smelled lots of different things. Then we rode to the Elizabeth River and saw a big ship being built.   The park was under a tall bridge.    We sat in this park and watched the cars and boats.  It was an interesting place to see

Virginia Beach

We got up this morning and decided to ride to Virginia Beach.  I was excited to see the weird water again.   The smells at the beach are very interesting.   we parked our truck and got out to walk on the beach and it started to rain.   I didn’t mind the rain but Mom and Dad said it was cold.   We walked a little way and they decided to return to our rolling house.    I hope the sun shines another day so I can walk on the beach.

Traveling around

We have been busy.   We went to Jamestown, and then we drove to Kittyhawk to see one of the first airplanes.

Dismal Swamp

Today we went to Dismal Swamp Canal in Chesapeake Virginia.  We walked over a mile on a walking trail and looked for wildlife.   There were signs that warned of black bears, reptiles and various amphibians.    All we saw were geese and a couple of butterflies.  The water looked weird, it was black.   I did not want to swim.   The weather was beautiful today but last night it was really cold.  I am tired after my long walk.

Battleship?

We went to Patriot Park today.   We had to cross a big long bridge to get there.   My Mom does not like bridges.   She had to close her eyes while we were on it.   I looked.   It was neat.  We got to Patriot park and there was this huge ship that Dad said was a battleship.   We stayed there most of the day.   I got to wander around and smell all kinds of new smells.    It was fun.

Boone plantation

We went to a plantation today.  It was so much fun.   There were trees with stuff hanging off of them.  They were big trees!   Dad said they were gnarly, whatever that means.   I smelled all kinds of new smells and people said I was pretty and wanted to pet me.   I love to be petted.  I saw some HUGE dogs.   They were three times as big as me.   I didn’t understand why they were eating grass??? And they were in a fence.  Mom would not let me get in the fence with them.   We stayed at this plantation all day and now I am really tired.

Traveling again

We loaheaded to Charleston.   I enjoyed sleeping during the ride over.   We arrived and it is raining.   Ugh.   I don’t really like to walk in the rain.   And….. it is a little cold.My hoomans said we are going to ride around now and look.   I’m looking forward to posting my pictures of the town.

Relatives

Image
I’m excited.   We get to see more relatives and I get to smell more new smells.  Yesterday we loaded up the rolling house and took off again.  We rode a while and then got to Dad’s sister.   It was fun.    Mostly I slept during the ride, but I love car riding.   We are still in South Carolina.

My hoomans are visiting their litter mates. We loaded up the rolling house and headed up the road.   We rode a long time and finally got to our litter mates town! This morning we went for a walk in the woods and we saw 2 deer.   They sprinted away when they saw me.  Mom would not let me give chase.  Ugh!    We could have played and I would have had so much fun!  Mom and dad went back to the rolling house and now we are sitting outside while they drink coffee.  Mom’s litter brother is coming to see me soon and then later we will see Dads litter brother !    Yay!!
