Delaware River

Image
Today my mom and dad took me on a long walk.  It smelled nice.   My parents kept talking about what della was going to wear.   They said she wears a River, but all I saw was a long strip of water, and we never did see a woman named Della.   We rode over to another spot later and walked along a big lake.    There were lots of fallen trees, and birds.  We did not see any other dogs, though.  We walked over 3 miles today.    My parents have lots of energy but now I am ready for bed.

Tom’s Creek in Little Egypt Pennsylvania

We walked along a creek today in the Poconos.  We walked a long way and the trail was very hilly. It was cold but very pretty.   Now I am tired.

Visiting the dairy.

My parents took me to a farm where they grow dairies.   It turns out that a dairy is a really big dog.    They are funny looking dogs too.  This farm had milk and eggs and ice cream but they wouldn’t let me have any ice cream.   Really? We walked around on this farm after they ate ice cream and Mom petted the funny looking dogs.

Rambling

Image
We wandered around today and saw beautiful countryside.   We saw horses, cows, goats and sheep.   Mom says the countryside here is beautiful.    I saw a man plowing his field with horses instead of a tractor. Wow.

Pennsylvania Dutch country

We loaded up or rolling house yesterday and headed to Pennsylvania.    We rode a long time and finally made it to our campground.    I looked out the window and smelled all new smells.   Some of it smelled like horse poo though.   Phew. Today we got in the truck and explored Amish country.   The country side is very pretty but it still smells like poo sometimes.  We saw lots of horses and cows.   We saw goats too and my Mom is fascinated by all the horse drawn carriages we see.    It is nice here!

Downtown Fredericksburg

Image
Today we went to old town Fredericksburg and I walked Mom and Dad all around town.   It smelled old.   The houses were all old and some have been there since the revolutionary war!   There were lots of restaurants and that smelled good!   The merchants even had bowls of water out for furry people like me to drink.   I had fun!

Tired

Image
We walked over 4 miles yesterday touring the civil war Wildrness battlefield.    I am still tired.

History

Image
We have been looking at historical places.   My people have taken lots of pictures and walked a lot.   We saw the boyhood home of George Washington.  We saw Chatham Manor which was at one time a union field hospital.    We went to the site of Stonewall Jackson’s death and we walked around Civil War battlefields.    I am tired but we are having fun.
