Pennsylvania Dutch country

 We loaded up or rolling house yesterday and headed to Pennsylvania.    We rode a long time and finally made it to our campground.    I looked out the window and smelled all new smells.   Some of it smelled like horse poo though.   Phew.


Today we got in the truck and explored Amish country.   The country side is very pretty but it still smells like poo sometimes.  We saw lots of horses and cows.   We saw goats too and my Mom is fascinated by all the horse drawn carriages we see.    It is nice here!

Old Man’s Cave

 My parents took me in a big hole today.   It was cool down there but also a little scary.   We went through a dark hole that was short and narrow.  I really didn’t want to go through there but they made me.   Ugh.   There were signs saying “dangerous cliffs, stay on the path”.   My Mom is clumsy.   That scared me the most.   She falls a lot.    There wasn’t much water because they need rain here, but the scenery was pretty andI loved the smells.

Cape Cod National Seashore

 We drove to the beach today.   It was warm outside and my mom was happy about that. I remember the beach.   It’s the place with the weird water that tastes funny and moves!   I really don’t like being hit by the moving water.   You have to move fast to keep from being hit by that water.    I got hit, and it was cold water! We saw seals swimming in the water but they wouldn’t come play with me.   It was fun watching them, though.

Dismal Swamp

 Today we went to Dismal Swamp Canal in Chesapeake Virginia.  We walked over a mile on a walking trail and looked for wildlife.   There were signs that warned of black bears, reptiles and various amphibians.    All we saw were geese and a couple of butterflies.  The water looked weird, it was black.   I did not want to swim.   The weather was beautiful today but last night it was really cold.  I am tired after my long walk.
