Fredericksburg battlesites

 Today we went to Chancellorsville to see the museum and several of the Civil War battle sites. My Mom says this is one of the bloodiest battles in history.   Stonewall Jackson was wounded here by friendly fire and died a few days later of pneumonia after getting his arm amputated.

We walked a long way on the battlefield.   Now I am really tired.

 We drove to the beach today.   It was warm outside and my mom was happy about that. I remember the beach.   It’s the place with the weird water that tastes funny and moves!   I really don’t like being hit by the moving water.   You have to move fast to keep from being hit by that water.    I got hit, and it was cold water! We saw seals swimming in the water but they wouldn’t come play with me.   It was fun watching them, though.

 We went to see a waterfall today.   We walked over 2 miles and I saw geese, squirrels,ducks and a little bitty dog that lived in a pocketbook.   I have never seen a dog in a purse before and that was strange to me.    Lots of people we met wanted to pet me and they said I was a good dog.   They said I am a pretty girl,too. I like meeting new people. That water was weird.  It was moving fast down to a lake below and no matter how much water ran over the edge, the lake never filled up.     My parents stood and looked at that water falling for a long time.  They said it was beautiful.    I had fun today, but they walked me too far and I am tired.

Delaware River

 Today my mom and dad took me on a long walk.  It smelled nice.   My parents kept talking about what della was going to wear.   They said she wears a River, but all I saw was a long strip of water, and we never did see a woman named Della.   We rode over to another spot later and walked along a big lake.    There were lots of fallen trees, and birds.  We did not see any other dogs, though.  We walked over 3 miles today.    My parents have lots of energy but now I am ready for bed.
